Being proactive is always beneficial, although it’s hard to do and hard to learn. One has to practice and get used to doing it intentionally and consciously, as it might be difficult at first.
Being reactive can help us understand more about ourselves, as well, since the emotions behind the reaction could reveal how we really feel about the situation we’re in.
